Guitar Workshop – Guitar Service & Repairs

Guitar & Bass Service, Set‑up and Repairs | Luthier – Kraków

When is it worth bringing your guitar to the Workshop?

If you've bought a new guitar and want to check its condition, it's worth remembering that brand‑new instruments often have minor imperfections. These might include stiff tuning machines, a poorly executed set‑up, dry wood or frets that aren't properly leveled — all of which affect playing comfort. For this reason, consider bringing a new instrument to a service to tailor it to your preferences and ensure optimal playing quality.
If you've purchased a used guitar, it might also be a good idea to visit a guitar workshop. It's a great opportunity to verify its technical condition, perform a cleaning after the previous owner and carry out necessary adjustments. That way you'll have confidence that your instrument will sound great and won't cause any issues down the line.

Feel like your guitar isn't comfortable to play?

Maybe it buzzes, it's harder to get a clean sound, or simply the instrument isn't meeting your expectations. There are many reasons your guitar might be causing you trouble.
First of all, analyse the state of the neck: it should be straight, yet sometimes may be bent or twisted, which affects playability. Fret buzzing and uncomfortable play often stem from improper fret work. Levelling and crowning the frets is a task for an experienced guitar technician.
Next step is evaluating the set‑up of the guitar. You can adjust the neck relief, string height, intonation, and also tweak pickup height and the bridge. Such improvements can significantly increase comfort and sound quality of your instrument.

A guitar technician has all the necessary tools and expertise to make your guitar sound and play as best as possible. If you feel your instrument isn't living up to expectations, now's the ideal moment to bring it in for service and a proper set‑up.
